Οι ακροατές του "BBC 6 Music" ανακήρυξαν μέσω ψηφοφορίας τα κομμάτια με τους χειρότερους pop στίχους στην ιστορία
To "BBC 6 Music" είναι η digital-only ραδιοφωνική πλατφόρμα του BBC, που μπορεί να την ακούσει κάποιος μόνο μέσω Dab, internet ή ψηφιακής τηλεόρασης. Ο σταθμός δημιούργησε το συγκεκριμένο poll και οι ακροατές του ανακήρυξαν μέσω ψηφοφορίας μεγάλη νικήτρια τη Des'ree, για τους στίχους του "Life". Ο Marc Riley, παρουσιαστής του σταθμού, δήλωσε σχετικά με το διαγωνισμό: "Οι κακοί στίχοι συναντώνται σε πολλές μορφές. Tο "χαζό" είναι μερικές φορές OK. Αλλά το πομπώδες και το επιτηδευμένο δεν υποφέρεται και δεν είναι δυνατόν να ενθαρρύνεται".
Ο Martin Fry, τραγουδιστής των ABC (ο οποίος βρίσκεται στην τέταρτη θέση της "κατάταξης" για τους στίχους του "That Was Then But This Is Now"), δήλωσε στον Riley: "Περίμενα αυτή την απονομή εδώ και πολλά χρόνια. Οι στίχοι που σου μένουν περισσότερο είναι συνήθως οι πιο χαζοί".
Τα 10 "πρώτα" κομμάτια, μαζί με τους... επίμαχους στίχους τους, είναι τα εξής:
1. Des'ree - 'Life'
"I don't want to see a ghost/ It's the sight that I fear most/ I'd rather have a piece of toast/ Watch the evening news"
2. Snap - 'Rhythm Is A Dancer'
"I'm as serious as cancer when I say rhythm is a dancer"
3. Razorlight - 'Somewhere Else'

Δεν απορώ καθόλου...Ώρες ώρες τα τραγούδια που είναι γραμμένα στα αγγλικά έχουν πολύ ηλίθιους στίχους και πτωχότατο λεξιλόγιο.
υπαρχουν ομως κ παρα πολλα ξενα τραγουδια με υπεροχους στιχους...

Καλά δε νομίζω ότι αυτοί οι στίχοι είναι οι πιο γελοίοι που μπορεί να συναντήσει κανείς σε ξένο τραγούδι
