Το τραγούδι πρωτοτραγουδήθηκε από τα πλήθη την ημέρα τής κηδείας τού
Σωτήρη Πέτρουλα στην Αθήνα τον Ιούλιο τού 1965
Πρώτη ηχογράφηση με τον Βασίλη Παπακ/νου. Πολλές άλλες εκτελέσεις από τις οποίες ξεχωρίζει εκείνη τής Μαρίας Φαραντούρη και αυτή με τον ίδιο τον συνθέτη στο τραγούδι
